RaceDepartment Club Racing Rules - Video Link

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the throttle pinned and pull back on track.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Penalties

A championship gives us the opportunity to deduct points or add time as a penalty. Below are the penalties for this championship. Please report incidents to the host. That will help to maintain the high standards of driving we are accustomed to in these events. For multiple unsafe actions within a single reported incident, the time penalties and point deductions are cumulative.

  • Golden Rule: if you break the Golden Rule, all points will be deducted from that event. Normal procedure via formal report and internal discussion within RD staff if there's an disagreement.
  • Unsafe overtake/defending or dive bomb: 5/10/30 second penalties for each case.
  • Track Limits: 5/10/30 second penalties for gaining an advantage outside of tracks limits.
  • Ignoring blue flag: 2 points taken off for each case.
  • Dangerous Driving: 2+ points may be also deducted for any unsafe actions causing an incident (e.g. unsafe rejoin/unsafe pit exit/swerving on the straight etc.)
  • All reported incidents and penalties to be judged by host (Brian) and co-host (Han) via the usual PM system. Gentlemanly actions, or otherwise, after an incident may effect the final penalty awarded.

The track is not bad at all, but to me it feels kinda undersized for GT3 cars, which is probably why it has such a low average speed (~6 seconds per lap slower than Brands Hatch which is a slightly longer track). I wonder if anyone else has a similar opinion

For me the track width, overtaking are all fine here for GT3. Gets a bit tight in revolver. It's no zandvoort ;)

If there were any backmarkers showing up for gt3 i might have went with a bigger longer lap here alright, to avoid excessive blue flag action. There has only really been a midfield and aliens racing GT3 this year for whatever reasons.

It's the section from Hairpin to Hobbs, lots of corners with very short straights between them that end in a blink of an eye when you're in a fast car, yet they don't form a typical sequence of corners with exit of one smoothly flowing into the entry of another. Not sure if this explanation makes any sense, but that's how it feels to me. The other half of the track I enjoy very much, especially T1 and T2 when I manage to take them just right

I like the flow through that section better in a front engined GT like the Z4 or C7r. It's a bit of a struggle in the ferrari.

I almost wanted to skip the track because I felt so uncomfortable here and I was really bad on the training server. Luckily I didn't do it.
It was a really good result for me, also because of Thomas' action in the pit lane. It probably won't be my favorite track anyway.

Great event as always

Pretty uneventful race for me. The highlight was meeting Thomas coming out of the pits :roflmao:

Pretty much sat an average 5 sec behind Hank and 5 in front of john for the whole race. Could have drove a bit faster and had a better start as usual, but probably made no difference to the end result.

Sim results while i think of it..

Thanks all for racing.
Congrats to Dmitry for the win and the podiums. See you next week

Yes that was my highlight as well:laugh:
It's so awkward to spin in the pitlane, guess never had that experience before, at least not in an online race. Was not too fast going in but accelerated too early, got two wheels on the little grass spot which was enough for a complete spin although the pit lane is so narrow. Glad I could move in a way so that the other 3 cars entering same lap were not blocked. Lost about twenty seconds:mad:.

Something's not right here:roflmao:

Not the first time pit entries can end in disaster;)

Before that I had a good and constant race, perfect start going from P6 to P4, was only 2.5 seconds behind Aki after 30 minutes, always under pressure from Hank who was super quick.
After that I was racing against John and further on could close the gap to Brian but it was not enough time to catch up.
Congrats to podium and thx for organizing.
cu next time

My first reaction was netcode. This is a crazy netcode shark coming to get me

Not much time to practice, was away for a wedding and didn't think I'd make it. But I did, and with the pace of this field, had to fight hard just to hold the last position or two :thumbsup:

Congrats to the podiums. It's been a while since I've been lapped  . Thanks for hosting Brian. Looking forward to next round. I "think" I like driving at kyalami :D
