Welcome to the RD Racing Club. Get your bottles of wine from the cellar because it's time for the Corkscrew!
Yes this Sunday we're going to Monterey, USA to the much loved circuit of Laguna Seca.

Besides the Corkscrew the Rainey Curve and the double apex Andretti Hairpin are some of the other challenges that you will encounter. So join us and sign up on s.gp here: https://beta.simracing.gp/events/FF1hkakrxr5SRtwQlSONv#cars

On Wednesdays, there is a great opportunity to prepare yourself for this race by joining a multiclass Audi TT/Mazda MX5 Cup event on the same track. You can learn the racing lines, overtaking spots and even the braking points in a car that's less demanding than the GT3s -- and you can still have a lot of fun at the same time! Look for the multiclass Audi TT/Mazda MX5 event in UPCOMING EVENTS section on the left of this page.

A message to all Drivers,

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.

When entering the track from the pits, stay off the racing line until you are up to speed. Do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by. On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium

There's one spot left for Wednesday if you want to learn the track in AC!

You are nearly better off not knowing the track! At least that how i felt at barcelona, which i knew from ACC. You are nearly unlearning stuff you expect to be or not to be for the first 30 minutes.

I am on limited race time these days han! Lucky to get the 2 slots a week :)

I was about to reserve, but there’s 24 people in the TT/MX practice race. Hard for me to do the mid week races. I’d like to race the GT3, but will wait to join so others that practiced can get in first. Check back later;)

There's a spot free now for TT/MX5 event.

EDIT: I'm sorry. Already taken.

Current state of my accelerator pedal. Hope to make the start! Noticed last night while in practice i was getting full throttle sometimes, instead a flickering 90-100 %

It's been a few years since I've had to mess about with a potentiometer. I can see a can of motorcycle chain wax in the image. I'm sure that it will do the job, but I think, in the long run, it will attract more dirt/dust than using a contact cleaner. Hope you manage to get it working.

There's nothing you can do to make these potentiometers last much longer and I don't think there's a direct replacement quality part available. As a short-term solution, you might be able to replace throttle with clutch which is probably worn less at will work for a while, but hall-sensor based pedals are the way to go long-term. E.g. recently announced Fanatec CSL ones with a load-cell brake added.
