@Stelios Fevgatos you guys are confusing yourself :)

First lets start with dropping the idea that the UK is the center of the (time) world, which it hasn't been for quite a while (sorry mrs queen). Although GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time and Greenwich is located in the UK the British have adopted a more suitable european time during their summer which is called British Summer Time.

GMT is the standard world time that never changes during seasons and only a few countries still use it as their official time (Iceland FTW).

So when you draw a vertical line through Iceland on the world map anything located on the west is GMT - and anything on the east is GMT +.

The UK is GMT +1 hour. Most of Europe is GMT +2 hours (also called CET, Central European Time) etc etc.

(To add some more confusion. During the winter the UK goes back to GMT +0 :D)

There are plenty of world time zone converters out there that do the job based on the comparison of two locations but you need to set GMT (or sometimes called UTC) as the base.

Hope that helps

I know how it works, just wanted to make sure you REALLY meant GMT and not do the Queen's favor and use their time.
Thanks for clearing that out.
