A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.

Golden Rule

  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Idk yet if i will be busy or not for this so i wouldn't add my name just yet. But as a heads up the Ferrari will run completely out of hybrid with the long straight leaving the Mclaren to pass right by You can try to manage it but there's just not enough capacity or Regen opportunities. I think the Ferrari makes up for a lot of the difference in speed with it's handling but the Ferrari actually needs the hybrid to go fast in a straight line. The Mclaren doesn't have a problem with speed even without hybrid (although it auto deploys in 6th & 7th) but it has plenty of energy & Regen. I did a little testing with ai & It's mostly because the layout. I Tried the normal layout with the chicane & the ai times were then within a second without any BOP since it gives a chance for the Ferrari to Regen. Mclaren will still have the advantage but much closer & not impossible. Idk if everything is completely set in stone but changing to the normal layout could make a big difference in making the cars competitive.

Thanx for the feedback. I did some tests as well, and came to conclusion that they are reasonably competitive regardless of the layout, as long as you manage your battery manually in the Ferrari.
Anyway, since this is meant to be more of just fun event, rather than have GT3 level of balance, I think I will leave in with a straight, just because it's fun to hit 370 kph :D

Err, how do you do that?! googled and can't find the answer:redface:

If you do nothing, is it not used, or it deploys automatically?

Again, sorry for the numpty questions
You have bind buttons for MGU-K Settings in AC and then you can switch between diffenrent deployment profiles or switch it off and use Manual boost with the Kers-button.

It's a perfectly legitimate question.

You either use the car setup screen to switch the electronics to "charging" or you can use key board shortcuts, which I don't remember what they are, to switch between the modes.

Assign a KERS button to your wheel and you are good to go. When you press the KERS button, as long as you hold it, it will deploy electric power, if there is charge. I use it only on the straight to keep the speed around 360 and coming out of the slowest corners. The Ferrari doesn't need it anywhere else.

Did you even try the no chicane layout because on it the cars are miles closer.
I enjoy all the "fun club event's" but having massive difference in the cars is a mistake when they would be so much closer with something as simple as using the proper track. I don't think the it's just a fun race is a good excuse to do nothing. Since it won't be very "fun race" for whoever want's to run ferrari.
