GTR 2 Dedicated Server Help

Afternoon to all:

I searched the forums trying to see how to set up a dedicated server...to no avail..

I have downloaded the Steam version after purchasing to the Dedicated server I have up..

I have opened all the ports...launched the dedicated...and when i launch my game...enter the IP it says no games available...
What might I be missing

Official Simbin lobby is definitely closed (13 years game) so if you want to play online then you must join a GTR2 league with dedicated servers.
German leagues are still very active nowadays such as :

Last year RD was supposed to open a GTR2 server here but I think idea was dropped ??? Perhaps it could happen if many members sign a petition ???

Edit: ahh I think I have read your post to fast lol, you don't want to join a server but create a new online server for GTR2 right ?
So I suggest you to ask more info to @Dumeklemmer here via pm as he is admin at bude websites

I'm not sure any longer ... but does GTR2 player side not need a kind of Online Lobby Patch ?
We had a test 3 or 4 years ago ... and I found that I told a driver to install it ... the link given was at NG at the time.
What I think to remember also is that the game was rather slow to let the server appear in the list with the IP adress at the 1st connection.

I do own a Game Server Company that only does Race Simulation Servers
I did host 1/2 dozen GTR2 dedicated servers like you said over 14 years ago..and can't for the life of
me remember how to have them do a direct connect via IP/Port so racers can connect.

I kinda figured the way it is acting as it looks for a Matchmaker Lobby...But do see that you can connect
using direct IP...but to no avail.

As my Servers currently do host the rF1 Match Maker Lobby and Reiza has a dedicated to host there lobby..I thought that there might have been a backdoor like they do that lets you connect via the Query port.. But so far no Joy...
Hopefully I can get some-one that reads the thread that can help me sort this out..

That is correct...I would like to create a GTR2 dedicated for a client...Once I get it sorted..then see where it goes..
