as the title says .... I lost count of how many times I tried ... the occasion that I do not touch a wall, grass or go slow is very rare.
I finish exhausted, and nervous.
the conditions are as follows:
-Nordschleife 2007 FINAL by Team rF-Nordschleife.de for GTR2 V1.03 (1.4 <---) by derDumeklemmer
-Sauber C9 1989 (only from that year, version with very flat / low spoiler)
(mod: Group C IMSA GTP 1983-1993 for GTR2, Conversion and revised by Merlin75)
First:
the car MANDATORY needs adjustments to be able to comfortably take the potholes WHILE YOU ACCELERATE ... it is a beast: to the minimum pothole + turn + acceleration: crash.
you must use the hard tire on the rear wheels, and the soft ones on the front ... or else the rear wheels will burn ... and the front wheels will get cold. (ahahaha)
(increase front wheel TOE +0.80 ("convergencia"), reduce front camber camber 0.0, spoiler at 6 and set brakes at 3)
second:
The circuit is as I said, it is version 1.03 by derDumeklemmer ... and the layout is the TOURIST version (the one that does not include ANYTHING of the combined nuburgring circuit and is not the tourist SHORT version either ... none of those) is the version that only includes Full nords and no shorts.
my best time is: 6.17 (to be honest, I did 6:16 but I think I lightly touched grass) my fingers hurt, and I was shaking.
GTR2 vs GT spirt:
it all started when I saw "heikky360" in nords + sauber c9 in GT SPORT according to a CHALLENGE of a game dlc that includes a challenge by lewis hamilton ... the time is 5:46 ... AND HE does it in 5:37 (!!!!). (he even mentions that it wasn't "so" fast)
my comparison when learning the nords: I have to brake in some fast curves so that the car enters JUST. but in the youtuber video ... it happens at full speed. He stops faster and turns more,
... anyway ... I know it's an arcade(gt spirt) ... and I also know that 6: 11,13 of the Porsche 956-007 # 2 Gr. C of Stefan Bellof in 1000 km Nürburgring pole position, it is the fastest lap ever. (real time, real car, real circuit)
gtsport will be more modern ... but gtr2 even with mods is closer to reality ... the sauber c9 in nords is HARD to carry. you need a lot of courage and grit your teeth on fast corners.
the funniest of all:
I use xbox 360 controller in gtr2, f1c and rfactor ... with almost all the aids available ... or I couldn't tame the beast ...
and STILL the time is close to reality in gtr2 ...
I don't have gtsport but I suppose it would be faster and less realistic.
