I didn't see a download section here for GTR2....could someone link me or pm me a link for a good HD texture mod.

Just checking you are aware that GTR2 comes with its own high res textures. If you go to options - advanced you will find check boxes to enable high res cockpit textures and high res skins.
Of course if you have already enabled this and are looking for even higher res textures then perhaps start at NoGrip.
