Headlight brightness

Hello. How can I increase the brightness of the headlights for a specific car? I edited the lights.ini file, but nothing happened except changing the color. For comparison, two cars from Kunos, Mercedes and Mazda, as you can see the brightness is very different, the same problem is with some cars from the mods. Again, I need to increase the brightness for Mazda 787b, and not for all cars. Thank you.

Editing the lights.ini is never a good idea, edit the ks_mazda_787b.ini in "extension\config\cars\loaded" instead.

Untested bc I'm not at my gaming rig atm but increasing the last number in
Code:
[LIGHT_HEADLIGHT_0]
COLOR=1.5,1.3,1,2
could be worth a try. :)

And so, i fixed the brightness, also changed the color( was too yellow), but there is another problem, on some cars from the mods, the headlights shine too close (second screenshot) , can this problem be solved?
Thanks.

Everything can be adjusted. Maybe you should start learning this stuff by reading the wiki of CSP. :)

I am using [LIGHT_HEADLIGHT_0] COLOR=1.1,1.1,1,9 The brightness of the headlights also depends on the applied ppfilter. Also enable with SM option "car instruments" - "use high beams mode by default"
Yes, I think 9 brightness is spot on, 12 was a bit too much. As for the colour temp, it's down to taste. I like the lights a little yellowish, like they were back then, but not overdone. I usually go for 1.3,1.2,1 for colour temp, it has a slight warm yellow tint, but not too much.

The default ini for the Mazda is clearly in need of an update, because with the original settings it's pretty much impossible to drive it in the dark.

They also shine a little too much downwards, I think, for high beam at least, but I haven't fiddled with that just yet. They're good enough after upping the brightness, which is a very easy edit.

Good to know I'm not the only one spending time and energy on meaningless small details like this. :)

I wouldn't call it meaningless. I wanted to use the 787B for a 90s Le Mans 24h race and the car was useless because of the dim headlights. So i am glad i found this topic!
