Help Downloading Mods

I must be doing something wrong. I have been trying to download some mods and nothing I am doing is working. I have done every step that is show in 1 video. Could someone list out all the steps as if you are trying to teach a 2 year old to do it? Much appreciated.

Are you trying to download mods here, or from another site? Which browser do you use (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer)? We need this info before we can really help you.

Simple really....
Find a mod you want.
Click download
Files are normally zipped so look in Downloads/ Compressed folder on your PC for the mod when it's finished downloading.
Safest way is to now create a new folder on your desktop with the Mod name.
Unzip the Mod into the new folder on the desktop.
Open it and see if there is a "Gamedata" folder.
If there is, copy it and paste it into the root directory of GSC. Overwrite if asked.
If there is a RFM folder as well, copy and paste that too. Gives you a menu for the mod.
You good to go.

Be careful of some mods, they are not well made and tend to put wrong cars, sound etc in weird places. Download a few from RD first until you get the hang of things. The mods here are done the right way and work well.
