PC2 Help! Fanatic CSW Universal Hub button sticking

Evening all!! I had a few hours in the game and everything was going fine when all of a sudden my upshift hotkey started sticking. What I mean is, the game would recognize infinite inputs of the button just by holding it down. In practice it means that I have to barely tap the right paddle of my Universal Hub or else I skip a gear (or two) when upshifting. I thought it might be related to the physical wiring connection but it is also doing it for upshifts in sequential mode on my Clubsport Shifter. Essentially meaning I have two different ways of upshifting and both are sticking.

Nothing wrong with downshifting. Any ideas what may be the matter and how I can fix it?? Uninstalled/reinstalled the game to no avail.
