Help on Notepads files please (changing driver names etc)

Hi can someone help me in understanding how to change driver names in the car folders (notepad), if i open a notepad file the word etc are all messed up and can't read anything how do i open that file to see the wirds properly please so i can see all the words etc, thanks

What type of file are you opening - what is the file extension?

i'm going into installed in rf2 folder then vehicles clicking on the yellow folder till it opens up around 4 notepad folders then clicking on one of those it has mas at the end , then when it opens its all jumbled up letters etc, thanks

A ".mas" file isn't an ASCII text file hence why you can't edit with a text editor like notepad. You will corrupt the file if you try to resave from a text editor. You can't easily change the original or mod cars and drivers.
