DiRT Rally Help Please!

I use a G27 wheel and for the life of me I'm finding it very difficult to get reverse gear, it just won't engage seems to be a problem with all cars I've driven so far. I'm using H shifter, makes no difference if I use clutch or not.
Can someone please help with this?

You just need to apply some force down at the shifter for the reverse gear, as it happens in many cars in real life.

there's force and there's force. I don't need to use force when testing it or in Assetto Corsa

Maybe is my bad english, or I was misunderstood..

You can activate "reverse" on your G27 Racing Wheel by pressing the stick down on its base while shifting it to the 6th gear.
If the problem still remains, Try unplugging the usb from your comptuer, unplugging the power cord from the wall socket. Replug the Usb in and the power cord and try again.
