I am so over offline racing. Don't have to try and find the sweet spot for the AI to keep up and not blow my doors off. Don't have to worry about the AI ramming me (and soon not worrying about the rookies either)

best advice is to not fight for position. no one i have come across yet has actually passed me on the hard side when i held the easier line. they just bring their nose inside and scare me into letting them pass.

(this is less true in hosted races ive noticed. also cautions helped a lot it seemed.)

yeah, I finally actually passed someone Monday night but mostly I've been just concentrating on getting my safety rating to a respectable place and trying to make sure I can control my car in traffic and not, for instance, drift up into someone above me on the track.
