Laptop: Intel 2.0 Ghz Dual Core, 4GB RAM (667 Mhz), NVidia M8600 GT, XP Pro SP3, 1024x768 (RBR) - max FPS, but just with 1 km road and 1000 polygons of terrain The whole set will have around 800 polygons and 180 kb of textures, will count it later
I know its nice having polys do all the work, but for a drive-by object, would it not be worth having flat faces with alpha texture to give the same effect for waaaay less polys?
Yes, I know, I'm just learning Sketchup and enjoying it very much We will see - if it kills the processor, I will do low-poly version too. For sure you can switch off collisions in that big lift (I don't know how to name it) since it's surrounded with rails.
The bridge is now complete This should be of course over the river - the picture is from testing track that you can drive on/and under this.
Erwin, I'm sending the whole thing to you in a while.
Great. I think with transparent textures instead of details from polygons it would look worse 500 is not that much, as I checked some other objects randomly.
Let me know when new video is published on the track's website Greetings!
