Hotlap Viewer Automobilista

Hello Guys!

I just didnt find anything on google that could give me some tips for making a hotlap viewer. So i just post it here:

How can i make a hotlap viewer? (Need it for AMS)
Is there someone with experience regarding the hotlap viewer? Doesnt care if rF or AMS in the first place.

Have you looked into LiveRacers? That is what many leagues use. LR keeps all of the practice, qualifying, and race results. Stevo is the person who runs it and he is fantastic with help & feedback and very kind.

Check this folder:
\steamapps\common\Automobilista\UserData\LOG\Results
There are the results of all your sessions.

Files are named like this:
YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_SS_MS[Session].xml

[Session] is:
P - practice
Q - qualifying
WU - warmup
R - race
TD - test day
Number behind it stands for the specific session, so if you have 2 practice sessions for one weekend it could be like that: P1, P2, Q1, WU, R1

In those files you find XML elements called "<Driver>", with an attribute "<Name>"

<Driver>
<Name>Racy Racer</Name>

and in that Driver element you also find this here:

<BestLapTime>82.2007</BestLapTime>

But of course also all other laptimes are in there too.
Just lurk around the files, they are pretty selfexplanatory.

Just a heads up:
There's a huge element called "<Stream>".
That's more or less a "race report" - everything is logged there.
