How can I prevent the start of "SteamVR"

When I start ACC I always get SteamVR, even when not starting it in VR mode, even if the headset isn't connected.

How do I control that?

Right-click on assetto corsa competizione in the steam library, select properties, click on 'set launch options' under the general tab and add the line '-nohmd' there. This will stop steamvr from auto-starting. Obviously, if you want to use your vr headset with assetto you'll have to remove this.
