How do I pit?

I was trying out the FBMW on the new circuit and lost the front wing. I got the audio cue that I lost something and needed to pit so I pressed 9 and got the notion that I can pit right now. so I drive into the pitlane and stop before the open garage door and nothing happens. Did I do something wrong?

Nope you did everything right. Pit stops and Race07 don't fully go hand in hand. Its one of them things they keep working on.

yes you'd better hold on to it or drive around with some duct tape and some superglue 3 in your pocket.

During a race in Race 07, if you have damage or fuel problems, just drive into the pit lane and the AI takes over and drives you to your pit bay. If you are low on fuel, it will add it (but you get no choice of quantity), and it will repair flat tyres. However that is about all it will do.
Race 07 is designed around sprint racing, so pitstops aren't really included.
