I'm in the process of making my first ever DIY sim rig, and I'm thinking about using aluminum framing. I went to a junk yard last weekend and got myself a driver's seat from one of the most sporty car on the planet: a Toyota Prius.
Then after comparing the seat with the pictures of other people's rigs, I think I need to remove these 2 extra protruding parts riveted with the sliders underneath the seat:

I'm using a Dremel rotary tool to try to cut through the rivet's head, and as soon as I get a good gap I try to use my hammer to pry it. This takes like forever, and Dremel gets very hot during the operation. I'm wondering what kind of tools or methods do you guys use when you make your own rig from a car seat just taken from the car?
