What's the easiest way to line up graphics on templates in which the doors are not aligned with the body? Attempting to make a skin like the one in the photo for the Singer 4.0
If you use the CM showroom and enable the paint mode and PSD or something, it will auto update the showroom if you save your PSD. This way, making small adjustments and doing it very precisely is really easy.
Thanx for the replay. My dilemma is because the doors on the template are distorted it prevents me from aligning the stripe on the car in the same way it is in the attached image. Photoshop is what normally use for skinning.
This is why I do most of my car skinning in Blender, the trial-and-error of saving & seeing if things align is way too frustrating for me. I applaud the patience of anyone who’s able to put up with it.
Here’s a video explaining the process, however Blender doesn’t (natively) have support for layers like photoshop does so that’s the biggest issue. However there are addons available for purchase that enable that sort of thing, I personally use Bpainter.
The only thing I can see is a bit difficult, is this spot:
Best to use a wireframe inside Photoshop and determine where this kink is. Then add points to your shape along the wireframe (that's always the kink-point) and move vertices around untill it lines up.
Or use Blender methods or even Photoshop 3D-painting methods.
