How to check what version of GSCE you have?

How do you check what version of GSCE you have, because I keep getting a mismatch when I join an online session and wondering if it is because I am using an old version.

So how do you check version?
What other causes are there for mismatch?

The version number should be on the bottom right of the title screen when you load the game. Mismatches can also happen if the server you're trying to join uses modded cars and/or tracks that you don't have.

The upcoming title definitely needs a system for downloading non-stock assets and a filter in the server browser hiding all servers that run content you don't have.
