How to make AC GT3 cockpit gauges go out?

How to make AC GT3 cockpit gauges go out?
My attempts to replace the DISPLAY.dds/INT_Decals.dds only seem to change the background color. Is there any way to make the screen go out completely or overlay the black layer?

I use a separate display device and don't need it anymore.

Some guys just wanna do weird things.

But you can try and hide the meshes with an ext_config.ini.
