How to make AI run custom Liveries?

All custom liveries for the 992 show up fine in the showroom.

When I choose ‘single make’ and ‘using custom liveries’ to run a ‘quick race’ all AI show up in variants of the original skins.

I have been trying all other combinations of the in-game options but am now wondering if I should get out my notepad to change a ‘1’ in a ‘0’ somewhere.
