Yes, and then my tyre exploded and I had no wheel at all.

Stop in the middle of the road. Then it is the same button as 'recover vehicle'. Gives you a 1m30sec penalty

That do depend on how far into the stage you got before the puncture, aswell as the nature of the stage and car

Very true. I keep spinning "everywhere" when I've got a flat tire, but that might be a bit due to over-enthousiastic cornering when I really should keep a more gentle pace

Some cars are a right handful when you get a puncture

Problem is that the availability to change the tyre is only shown a very short time.
Very frustrating indeed.

It would be better if you could change the tires any time you like, you know just like in real life

You can change tyres anytime you like, just stop the car, while on the road, and click the button. Or hit the pause and choose "change tyres". It's easy.

That's what I thought but when I hit pause there were no "change tyres" option at all !

Usually if you have a puncture, a message telling you to press a button will appear on the screen whenever you stop. For Xbox controller users, it says "Press Y to fix puncture". Push Y, take your 1 min 30 sec penalty, and race on!

Problem is that the message is only shown for a very short while

Codies should make it possible to repair the puncture whenever you want during a stage !
