How to start in RV?

When I want to play Assetto Corsa (using Oculus Rift S), I run a script that automatically launches SimHub, the Simucube configuration program, Simdash and the Oculus client. I have a mouse in my cockpit, but not the Oculus controllers. So, I have to put on my headset and use the controller to open up the desktop screen. With that screen opened, then I can sit in my cockpit, put on my headset and have control with my mouse to launch Content Manager. It would be faster and less annoying if the Oculus program allowed me to save my setup, with the desktop window always visible. That way I could go straight to my cockpit and have display and mouse control with my headset on. However, I have not found a way to save this setup, nor any hotkey that lets me launch the desktop without having to use the Oculus controllers. Any idea? Any other solution? How do you launch your sims in VR?

I like AC the most for VR because I can do everything on screen and then go to track in VR. Is how I do it.

The problem in my case is that I haven't got my monitor in front of my cockpit, but on a desk by its side, so it would be a pain for my neck. That's why I try to do everything from my cockpit. I have a mouse for Content Manager and also a button box that I use for lots of fuctions. I don't want to also have to use the Oculus controller.

You don't need to have your monitor on your desk.
You do need to center your headset position relative to the steering wheel and pedals for the best experience.
If your true seating position is offset to your virtual position, it can be a bit disorienting and car handling can suffer.

You didn't understand me or maybe I didn't explain myself well. I have no problems with my headset. The only problem is that before sitting on my cockpit I have to put on my headset and run the virtual desktop. Otherwise, there's no way to see the Content Manager window with the headset on. It would be great if Content Manager had some kind of integration with VR in the sense than you can run it directly in VR and see the image without the need for a virtual desktop.

A quick google search found this tip, however for it's for the Vive and might not apply to Oculus. It works through the steamVR program. I've not tried it and previously just taken my headset off but as I have a Vive Pro I might give it a go.

Sorry if this doesn't work for you but at least there are people out there motivated enough to try to fix it.

**Ah just read your post again, I'm guessing you don't use steamVR?

I can do that too from the virtual desktop provided by the Oculus Dash, which shows a screen with your desktop and your mouse pointer. What I am trying is to have that virtual desktop automatically launch when I run the Oculus Dash so that I don't need to use my Oculus controller at all (the only way to run the virtual desktop).

Ah sorry I couldn't help. Hope you can get it sorted.
