How to watch the entire race

Hello guys,

F1/motogp guy here, but I am starting to get into Endurance racing and I got some questions for the veterans.

As the title says, how do you watch these kinds of races? I find it hard to watch live a 6 hour race let alone a 24h one. Do you split them and watch it 2 hours each time?

Also where do you watch them. Any recommendations to watch them later online(not live) or download.

Assuming the app is the same I watch most of the race via the Le Mans app on the iPad.

It allows you to watch the world feed (same as what you would see on Eurosport) and you can also switch to different onboard cameras. I have an "old" iPad so I can plug the HDMI lead into it (via the adaptor). It's about DVD style resolution.

Commentary is Radio Le Mans.

If the Sky box is going free I'll watch it on the there instead :)

I do miss Motor Tv's coverage a little, only because they put an enormous amount of effort in and featured not only the scrutineering in the town square, the warm up to the whole race, but also the drivers parade on the Friday night which was always nice from an atmosphere point of view. I know it sounds like overkill but you miss so much when the tv channels jump in 20 minutes before the start.

I tend to watch them from A to Z so next weekend is a proper endurance also from a spectator view :)
Me too :) I remember the first 24-hour race I followed atthe Nurburgring in 2005. Only the live-ticker available during the night, and no english radio coverage. But I still did followed 95% of the race live (I guess having buildt a car that ran in the race served as an extra strength to the interest :D )
Having live pictures all the way is a huge bonus for the Le Mans-event :)

There's a ton of stuff on YouTube reasonably fast after race end (some of them live-streaming as well).
Racing Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtI9uwe6ahWcIxI4PXVCKNw
GTWorld https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-yHapH6mW1ceZ_5PDUf1_g
TUDOR Championship (US endurance) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC58em84jwiyM20qR-iqBDZw
/r/WEC https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj5O50dCl-4ZZYjZmEuljzg
FullRaceReplay https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW_FMgqvwPvr6g635_m-7Ew

I mainly follow the GTs, so my personal favourites are GTWorld and TUDOR Championship.
But the above has a bit of everything, from karts to WEC, WTCC to BlancPain.
Whether or not they're active at any particular moment in time is a little more hit'n'miss, and is presumably dependant on whether the owners have access to the race in question.
But if you can't find something that interests you in the above....I'll claim that you're a little jaded. :p

I've noticed @Lars Hansen that most motorsport tend to look the other way when transferred to Youtube simply because it has the side effect of extra publicity.

The only ones that seem to get taken down very quickly are NASCAR and F1.

If you look for Indysnake on Youtube he's a good source. Watched all of the Indy 500 broadcast in HD (less ad breaks!), he's also uploaded most of the other races. DTM as well. Plus for you retro fans he's uploaded Indycar races from the late 90's as well :)

There's that.
The NASCAR Association has even started uploading the entire races themselves, even though they have full coverage through FOX Sports.
But aside from the really big series (e.g. F1 and NASCAR) a lot of these events haven't got all that much coverage in the first place, unless one of the sports-networks have a hole in their interminable soccer-seasons, so getting the racing out to the public in this way makes sense.
PLus, I get free racing, which makes a lot of sense. :D

I'm glad to see this thread. I dont have FS2 here in the states and always love watching the beginning of the race. Will be watching the live stream, thanks and go Fisi and Oli G!! the 458 & C7R are amazing seeing and hearing live, went to the Glen last year.
