Dude I love your work but could you please give
us some more details on what the mod is doing?
Changed the lut?
Modified lightning.xml or other effect / track / car
related xml files etc...

Personally, I believe that dirt 2 is the best dirt game in the franchise (dirt rally 1 being the outlier / exception) it has exceptional locations, incredible sound and the Handel in is brilliant. Dirt 2 is the absolute pinnicle of the franchise (and dirt rally 1.0) and is far superior to DR2.0!

However, What exactly does this mod change? Textures, gfx settings, post processing etc etc etc?

Dirt 2 still looks good but I was trying to lower annoying bloom effect. It's basically postprocessing and track lighting changes. Some tracks look significantly better.

And yes, RaceDepartement is all for hc simulation realism but DiRT 2 is just pure fun. Simcade or not :)

Gracias for the feedback, and actually I phrased my question
incorrect by asking what the mod is doing and then giving
examples of -how- it could be modified. ;) Sorry about that.

Never the less I see you are going though the codemaster
collection aka the ego engine. (dirt, dirt 2, grid, grid autosport, etc)
nice!

The bloom has, I agree with you, always been a bit excessive.
A while back I was tweaking grid autosport and decided to use
3dmigoto and simply modify the shaders instead of altering
the effects.xml and lighting_day and _night.xml files.

Anyway thank you for the mod and the inspiration.
