I need help with adding custom tracks

i am in need of help i am very new to assetto and modding on pc so i looked it up on yt and followed their instructions but when they download a track it comes up in a compressed file but when i download a track it comes up as something else and doesnt work in the game. can i plzl have some help.

steam..a..corsa\content\tracks\

its a directory with at minimum one ...kn5 and a "ui" folder
