I need help with livery templates

Hi all great site.
I would like to make my own templates (V8Supercars Aussie) I do not know how to start and how to get the right contours and shading.
If there is anyone around that can help it would be appreciated.
I am doing liveries for scalextric cars and have done molds for the Aussie V8's.
Please help.

Ummmm thats the issue I have I would like to do these for Scalextrics not a game, but I need to know how to do the templates so they are scaled all sides and ends. I found that I think it was FVR templates do not have the front/back in proportion to the sides. So that is why I would like to do my own templates but I do not know how to start...
