Thinks it’s very important what game you wanting to use for. Some games do run excellent on Nvidia but refuse to play decent for AMD. Like combat fly sim “IL2-Battle of series “ and “Wings over series” seems to be better on Nvidia, while for DCS the AMD 6000 card is a better choice.
Next check if your PSU can handle you new GPU and it’s not only your Watts (use a web based PSU calculator) that’s counting, but check also the external power connection needed for this GPU. Some cheap or OEM PSU‘s like from Dell or HP systems can be limited on the amount of connectors.
Last normall this is no problem, only it’s worth to check if your choice of GPU does fit in your PC case.
