IN game I can`t select a gear ....?

Just added a Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia wheel and I can configue the acc / brake/ steering etc but in the game I can`t select a gear even though the paddle shifters are configured in the settings ..
If I select auto shifting its the same the car just sits in the garage and won`t move ...

Any ideas ? , I have deleted local contact and re-installed it bit its no dofferent , never had a problem with GSE like this before , I was running fanatec stuff before and it was fine ...

Is it a default track or a modded track?
