Inconsistent Rotary Encoders

Hi Fellow Racers,

I hooked up my new button box yesterday, I got this one, https://www.ignitioncontrols.com/Button-Box-p/0059.htm, and it has a bunch of rotary encoders that I really wanted which is great, however, they are behaving a little strangely. Each of them has an inconsistent input to the computer, either the right click, the left click, or nothing at all. I have emailed the company, but for anyone who has had a USB buttton box that is a game controller, not a keyboard, have you encountered anything like this? If so, is there anything I can do about it that you know of.

Does it come with any software for the encoders? My Leo Bodnar board came with a little program that had to be configured for the encoders for them to act as button presses for left and right.

(Rotary encoders are a bit weird, they have a pattern of on/off signals so it needs something to interpret the pattern and work out which way you turned it)
