Is it better to get this game on Steam or DVD?

Hi - I'm interested in buying GTR 2, primarily for the driving school, though the rest of the game looks fun too, especially the Power and the Glory retro mod. Would it be better to buy this game on Steam or DVD? I hear the Steam version is missing some cars due to licensing issues and isn't patched to the latest version (?), but can this be fixed up easily through other downloads? Or should I just get it on DVD? Thanks

There's not that much in it. In the UK, Amazon have second hand copies of the DVD for a similar price to Steam. The Steam version is the latest version but requires patching to get the Porsches and Ferraris back. The DVD version requires patching to the latest level.

Given the small chance your second hand disc might be scratched or not have an online key, Steam is perhaps the safest option.

I actually bought GTR 2 through Green Man Gaming in the end (as a Steam Key), as they were doing 20%, so only cost £4!
