MGP17 Is it possible to edit the HUD?

Does anyone know if it is possible to edit the on screen speedometer display? I'd like to remove the speedo completely as it's too big & unnecessary for me, but I still want the small tyre wear/temperature widget (and possibly the gear) showing.
Has anyone been successful in editing this?
