Is it true Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter works with fanatec?

I read somewhere that the Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter can be plugged directly into your PC using the USB cable without having the need to plug it into the Fanatec hub and it will still work on racing games. Is this true?

It's a standalone device and works exactly the way you described. I don't think it would work with a Fanatec hub/wheelbase though.

Edit: To be more specific, i don't think you can plug it into a Fanatec wheelbase. You can of course use it along with a Fanatec which you plug into a separate usb-port on your pc.

Yep, comes with two connectors; USB and an RJ45 type connector for plugging directly into the wheel base. I have mine plugged in via USB.
