Is there a mod that records long replays?

I have started participating in endurance races and have a question about replays. (Offline, against AI)
When I ran the race with the default settings, the replay was overflowing even for a one hour race, and when I checked the settings screen, it seemed to only record up to an hour and a bit even when stretched to the maximum.
Can this be made to work for 3 or 6 hour races by installing a mod or something?

I have rewritten the configuration file to confirm this, but it seems to be replaced by the minimum value in the game options screen.
I'll actually play the game and check the recording time.

I guess the options screen can't display those higher values, but it should probably stick if you don't change it ingame anymore.
