Is this upgrade good for gaming?

dont have a huge budget but i was wondering if this was ok to play games like rfactor 2 and f1 2011:

Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black edition
Motherboard:Gigabyte SKT-AM3 GA-MA770T-UD3
Graphics card: Palit GeForce GTS 450 Graphics Card 1GB

That would be fine for what you are asking, though the amount of ram and the OS make a difference as well.

If you change the Mobo for a Asrock 870 Extreme3 R2.0, you get AM3+/sata3/USB3/2xPCI-E for the future. It's the same prize.
And change the gtx 450 for 460/550 if posible.

An AM3 motherboard should last you for a bit, but if you want to stay on the bleeding edge of technology then you will be out of date shortly

If your motherboard manufacturer stays on top of things, as long as AMD keeps using the AM3 socket you should be able to upgrade your CPU to the latest available.

As for your GPU, it should do fine, as currently there is limited support for what the current cards are able to do. Once new technologies are introduced and supported though you may find yourself a little behind everyone again.
