F1 2012 Issues with modding the game

I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section, but I am not really familiar with RaceDepartment.

So I am modding the F1 2012 game right now, including some driver changes. However: I have some issues with drivers that weren`t in the game originally. [e.g. Sebastién Buemi] The game always crashes when I want to race with those drivers.

If someone with some experience is still active on here, help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Crashes in Champions Mode and Career Mode too

I changed the names of the drivers which causes the game to crash

don't change the name in database
only in language. It will crash you no mather what if you change driver names in database
you will still got all but change only in language file

Uhm, i have another issue. So i changed it so Vettel is now at Mercedes instead of Rosberg, but it always chooses one name or the other. (So either it`s Nico Vettel/Nico Hülkenberg or Sebastian Vettel/Sebastian Hülkenberg)

Excuse me for the disturbance yet again, but I have some more issues.

Nr.1: How do you add KERS to other cars + change engine performance?
Nr.2: Do you know how to change car materials? [I want the McLaren to be Metallic Black instead of chrome]
