F1 2013 I've made a terrible mistake

Playing on a gamepad, I assumed I wouldn't be able to keep up with expert, let alone legendary difficulties. So I started a new GP season on professional. Well, I've won the first 3 races with increasing ease...is there anyway to change the difficulty of an in-progress season without restarting the whole thing? I play 100% length, and don't really want this season to go to waste.

Yes you can change it any time you want.

MyF1 > Settings > Difficulty > 2nd one from bottom - AI Difficulty Level

And yes, you can change the difficulty and assists at any any time.
