just installed via steam, have full race rig, so set up, done a few laps different cars in practise mode, haven't adjusted setting yet just graphics,controller etc. looks impressive, 312 Ferrari round spa was fun, but cobra at silverstone, I was crap!

Is race weekend with A1 cars?

And is AC a work in progress, other cars etc coming?

just drop apps and content into main assetto corsa folder.

What if they ask to overwrite? Do I?

So steam/steamapps/Asseto corsa-

Or steam/steamapps/Asseto corsa/content/ ?? ( apps,car,tracks,gui,etc,etc,?

If the mod has "content" and "apps", then drop in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa. If is deeper, you need to place the mod files deeper then. Most of the time there is nothing to overwrite, since are different files than the original game files. Maybe if you update the app will overwrite the old one. For cars and tracks, don't overwrite, delete the current car or track specific folder name, and put the new one.


There isn't much to worry though, you can always verify game cache integrity through steam (game properties-local files), and original files will be downloaded. If maybe you changed values in graphics.ini, audio.ini etc.. the cache verification will replace them, and you'll need to re-edit those files.
