Karting Championship?

Hey. I have a thought for the admin and owners here. How about a Karting Championship? There are 2 pretty good mods (ICA and BRKart) and quite a good number of good kart tracks as well. To add to that, karting is very popular and I'm sure many of you guys and girls here like karting, and maybe some of you here even race them yourselfs in real life.

This is just a thought, and coming from someone who is quite sad there are no good kart championships around in simracing lol.:tongue:

You won't get an officially backed RD league I'm afraid. We are maxed out on leagues at the moment.

I wouldn't organise a league in karting but I was planning to run some karting events in the Racing Club during the RDV8SC

I am not a big rF fan, but using the Kart mod (I think BRKart) was one of the few rF events I took part and that was sooooo much fun (though we started with 3 people and after one race we were only 2).

i can't show you where to find it (against the rules) but there are no mods for karts on rd i believe. But just for you to know the best kart mod out there is kf1.

Do you think we can do it when some of the leagues are over? Maybe you can back us up after rdv8sc ( I think that's what its called) is over?

It's not going to happen here. It's unlikely there will be anymore leagues using a different mod to V8s on rF. And leagues are on all year

Question: I have read on many forums to when starting out on vehicle mods we should work with an existing rF car. I have Blender, how do I get a rF 3D car into Blender??

I am just so new!! Sort of driven to find/create an Enduro mod.

I managed a kart league in another site and believe me it's an amazing mod
we used BRKART mod for rfactor
there are a lot of perfect tracks for this little cars, I'll jump in some Race Club night for sure ....

from my experience to have fun with karts you don't have to fill the whole grid, about 10 guys is a perfect number :smile:

Just come across this thread, after cutting my teeth in karting so to speak and racing for a few years at competition level I'd be VERY interested in some sort of karting event ... any more thought been given to this at all?

Hi, I race in a karting league we used to use the KF1 mod but now we use KZ1 its the same and KF1 but with gear box and arai helmets which look sweet with your own design on.
