know type of tires

It is surely a silly question, but can you see from the cockpit what type of tires you have? Are they rainy or dry? I have made the change while it was raining and I have not noticed much difference, and I did not know if I had made the change correctly. I have looked at the tire hud but I do not see anything that indicates if the ones I have are rain or dry ... Or am I half blind?

The telemetry HUD might show your tyre type. If it doesn't, the tire tread looks different. In open wheel cars you can of course look at them, in closed cockpit cars you could pause on a safe spot and look at the replay to see your tires.
