Legal options for being scammed by a sim racer selling never delivered products

This happened at iRacing's buy and sell forum. He was selling stolen goods (Hydraulic pedals) at a great price, claiming he got them at a sponsor's discount. He has since been banned but I'm sure he'll just find another sim. Anybody like to help out fellow sim racers who need legal advice on what to do. Even if it only scares him to reimburse us.

Same as in real life. Gather all the evidence you can get and go to your local police and file a report.

If they are going to make a case out it the authorities can request data from the site owner to persue.

Even if it only scares him to reimburse us.

For people who deliberately scam that will not teach them anything, a firm slap on the wrist from the police will.
