Like i'm driving in Ice/snow

I try and I try. I can't figure this game, it feels like I'm driving on ice. I'm not sure if it's the wheel, my pedals or the game configuration. I've tried custom files, I've tried figureing it out myself. but it feels like I'm driving on ice what ever car I choose. Can someone tell me what it is I'm doing wrong. I have a t-300. logitech pedals. all my other racing game are fine, just this one. it's too bad because it looks cool.

@GMC21

I've got a Thrustmaster TX and been struggling to find a decent all-around ffb setting since the December update but it's getting frustrating.

I've come across so many combining issues that I'm almost ready to put it aside and hope the title continues to mature.

Like you, I've tried multiple ffb settings. Default was somewhat ok but lacked lateral grip detail.
Default + was better under braking but induced a bouncy feeling and under braking, you would get this overpowering shift of forwarding bodyweight that would completely eliminate any grip details and make the car feel like it was spinning on ice.
Silver raw rfuktor 5.3 I'd say was the best but still not great...I can feel tons of engine vibrations and bumps, pretty decent under braking but still, kind of vague on the lateral grip. I found lowering the dampening setting which is actually power steering strength helped with lateral grip a bit....still experimenting with settings as I could only find base settings for a csw 2.5

I read the devs were gonna make the rfuktor file the default but they found it induced a bug....not sure about the details?

Other issues I've come across that I've seen others have experienced as well and posted some solutions too.

The biggest issue...base tunes...90% of the tunes out of the box are terrible and unbalanced. Reiza has hired a community member to redo them in a future update but for now, he has some on the Reiza form. I believe the thread is called competitive tunes?
I'll edit this post later and add a link to the thread.

Physics a lot of the cars need tweaks/updates after the last update as I've noticed several weird things that others have mentioned too.
A weird slip and grip when turning, some cars when you turn in and will go completely sideways into a controllable four-wheel drift.
Some cars have this weird lateral wobbling coming out corners...not sure if that's due to the bad base tunes or a physics issue with the tire model?

Braking has been an issue since release and lots of people have been complaining about spinning out under braking since the last update.
The solution seems to be to lower the default brake pressure to 70-80% and add forward bias.

Wet tires seem to be pointless at the moment on many cars as one member posted several videos showing faster or equal times on slicks in storm conditions with extremely soaked track drifting through every corner like a pro.

Now, this one isn't a ffb issue but really hampers the driving experience. Are several cars that have this excessive camera bouncing which makes some cars annoying and some so bad you can't even focus down a straight due to excessive bouncing...yes I've tried legacy and non-legacy camera modes.

Lastly and my biggest gripe that continues to haunt me from PC2 is......
After finally finding a good tune and hrs tweaking the ffb for a set car it feels great. You switch cars, and it feels terrible and you have to repeat the whole process over. :(

Of the 2 thousand hrs I've spent in the madness engine between PC1, PC2 & AMS2 easily half of that time I've spent tweaking the ffb.

I really hope Reiza incorporates a per car ffb saveable option and an automatic ffb setup option like iRacing.
Quick and easy to get a base set.
Drive a few laps, click the automatic ffb button...adjust if needed and check the save button afterward....DONE!
as it stands now I basically have to create a wheel profile for every car which honestly I can't be bothered too.....as I just wanna drive!

I have faith Reiza can get things sorted but atm they got ALOT of work on their hands for a small team.

Edit: TM Profile. 900 100/100/100/0/0
Boost on
In-game 55/15/35/45
Wheel calibrated
deleted setup file as instructed

I'm also getting mixed opinions on Profile settings...some say zero spring and damper in TM Profile others use 100.
Until Reiza updates their ffb recommendations thread which is a yr old, I'm not sure what to use?

Did you calibrate the wheel properly?
