Rules:If you have not entered the server and driven a few laps with fellow drivers before we go to qually you are to late for that session. Please think of your fellow drivers get out on track with them watch how they drive,
you cant race with guys you have not seen drive. WE all brake a little different and drive the corners different , get used to how they drive and then we can all race safer.
if you drop out of the server during qually you can return

This is being held in our Club, using Club Rules, and should be driven in that spirit.

Shame your running these beasts in the short race format. You need to experience the tyre wear effects that only longer racing will produce.

Well that will come in time, its a long time since we have run them. and for allot of drivers its the first time ever. So its walk before we can run, but there will be an endurance event coming.
and longer races when were all up to speed.

Our last one was at the old banked Monza track and it was epic (but I still only finished 2nd ). Our final two are at old Spa and old Bathurst and I'm hoping to clinch the championship.

the only problem in 60's or 77's le mans would only be stopping the cars for the Mulsanne corner

Rupe, it would be nice if keep posting your conclusions/findings on tyres, for those (and I suspect I'm in this group this week...) who don't have much time to invest in practice sessions.

Well the vintage tyres are a lot stiffer to run with making the car more twitchy in places,
getting into a slide can be harder to control
i think you get better grunt out the corners with them but at the cost of stability...

the default tyres feel all a bit loose for me in the handling but they are more forgiving in the corners, they both seem to last the same.

The cars feel like the difference between the Boos and the Firebird in the way it handles with each tyre.

I like the DBR2 on vintage tyres but the Ferrari on default ones..
All 4 guys that were having a test last night had differing views on each tyre and car..
but the times were close enough to have fun..
