Louqe Ghost S1 mini-ITX case

Just curious if anyone's built their simracing box from one of these mini-ITX cases ...

Pricey, but damn gorgeous. I ordered one, but delivery isn't till Jan 2019. If nothing changes between now and then, I'm thinking of these internals ...

- AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
- NZXT Kraken X52
- Asus ROG STRIX X470-I
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3466
- Samsung 970 Evo 250GB M.2-2280
- MSI Radeon RX VEGA 56
- Corsair SF 600W SFX

I only used a mini case once in my life and never again. This would have been 10 years ago so maybe things are much better now, but trying to cram everything into the small form factor was a nightmare. I had to cut a load of bits out of the case.

That design looks way better but those form factors are more trouble than they're worth IMO.

I hear you. I first took a close look at a Dan A4-SFX case, but the gaps for cable routing in one of those looks microscopic. On the Louqe, presumably, the central "spine" design will allow for better access, and the cable routing doesn't look too bad. It seems they cut out lots of notches for cable routing too. It's not coming for a while, but I'll report back once I put it all together.

I used to like small cases too.
But both the CPU and the GPU you plan to use are running hot and it is hard to keep them cool in a small case.

Right. It remains to be seen, but Louqe presumably designed the case with cooling as a top priority and have posted various tests of their own with different fans and cooling solutions. Additionally, with an optional "top hat," you can fit a 240mm AIO which is likely the path I'm going to take. Once everything comes, I'll report on the temps that I'm seeing, but that's not gonna be for a bit.
