Thank you for this setup, feels like my car is bolted to the road  Managed a 1:46:8xx in Career (1st season, virgin).
My lap times with all assists off, tire and fuel wear with damage are right around Alonso's time. If you want to play this game in a more authentic manner, then this is what you must do.Thats right, the real lap in Marina Bay was 1'45' by Alonso. Wait until there is a fix for this. I am new to this game on PS3 but I follow Formula for the past 10 years.
Those times are amazing considering the assists are off. How did you, (and the 3 guys below you on the leaderboard) get that time?
There is a lot of whining in this thread about the circuit being too difficult. I'm not being cocky, but it's a fact 1st season with lotus all assists off, expert AI, I got pole position and came second in the race. I was worried about not having a setup but 2nd from the right (engineer quick setups) and some decent practice 30-40 laps and it's fine. Many posters have identified the curbs are an issue. Well there's your answer. Identify the curbs you can and cannot hit. I found with this circuit that a 'swing in' technique works for a lot of the corners especially the S before the outdoor narrow bridge (2nd sector) and the first right hander (from the start line) i.e. for a right hander turn in left very close to the wall for a short moment (as if going into it) then swing right catching the apex.
It makes me wonder sometimes reading people's posts of their times/struggles - do you actually practice. Do you know a rough braking point or do you have an exact marker/mental picture. My philosophy is really learn a track. Spend whole sessions on it. Then seasons 2-7 you will know it and can just enjoy it.
This game is possibly my favourite racing game ever but it's just too easy even on expert. Last 3 races, won Spa, 2nd Monza, 2nd Singapore. I WANT to be coming 12th!!!
