Massive Wreckfest Update Scheduled for December

Not content with a new racing club? Well feast your eyes on a massive new update on the way for Next Car Game Wreckfest before the end of the year...

Bugbear Entertainment are continuing to push full steam ahead as they look to bring Wreckfest into a version complete status, continuing what has been a frankly on and off development cycle as the little development team push forward with progressing a title that is packed full of potential, even if it appears a little on the unfinished side at present.

Writing on the official Bugbear Entertainment blog posting, the developers claim something big is on the way as they promise an update release that is "by far the largest one we have ever created", and all before the end of the current year!

According to Bugbear the upcoming update will include the following highlights:

• Many new cars, including front-wheel drive cars for the first time
• Preview of the upcoming series based career mode
• Polished tracks with all-new variants
• New, enhanced HUD
• Paint job customization
• Better AI with adjustable difficulty
• Improved vehicle physics and manual clutch
• Mechanical vehicle damage
• And a lot more

No further information has been forthcoming from the developers, however with only a few more weeks left until the end of December it won't be long until we get to see what all the excitement is about for ourselves...

Wreckfest is available for PC with console versions due to release during 2018.

WRECKFEEEEEESSSSSST....it just screams FUN! Shame there's no sign of VR support as having a few beers, smashing cars around on the Figure of 8 circuit and throwing up everywhere from the violent smashes in your headset YEAH that's racin' guys!

Seriously though their progress is good enough in my eyes, lately updates have been very good and this new patch looks decent as well. Taking it as a "sit back and relax with the controller" style game keeps this one firmly in the "good to have fun with" category without the need for taking it too seriously like a proper racing sim.

You might want to look over at Interstellar Marines.
Development began 12 (!!!) years ago with failed crowdfunding, an Early Access boost which was followed by a big crash down. Afaik it's still in development

@PaulH , Wheels can be used no problem but don't expect an rF2/AC experience. FFB is still WIP grab it now while 50% off

The ffb is more than acceptable for what it does, wip or not, and knowing its only going to bet better with the update is a real bonus
