I was kind of sad, that we will not get the car in ACC at all, because it is still not used by any team in the real Blancpain GT series. Might only be available in the hotlap competition, but at least we get to drive the car in ACC!

It is used in Blancpain Asia series. I'm hoping they have the rights to the entire Blancpain brand spanning all 3 regions and all series. Could well be too, especially as they confirmed to be bringing the Intercontinental GT pack to ACC which is also under the SRO motorsports banner. This includes Suzuka and Bathurst so anything can happen here.

Do game developers actually do that? Go through the full process of developing a car to use it in one competition only? That sounds like a waste of resources to me.
My guess is that it will be at least available in Custom weekend mode, Single race and Multiplayer until IGTC DLC is released, where it actually competed.

Depends on the licensing agreement with the manufacturer, they can be funky sometimes. Like the ferrari f1 cars in assetto corsa. They could only be used by themselves, you couldn't mix them up with a grid of different cars (although it was pretty easy to work around). In this case I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
