1:29.7 racing line aid only, xbox controller, virgin season 1, lost some time having to take care in sector 3, lost traction coming out of penultimate corner, luckily I recovered quickly, 1:28 is possible.

Guys, I am new to the F1. I am on a PS3 and using Wheel/Pedals Set up - granted I am not perfect, I can't get past 1.29 and my best man Vettel is at 1.28. I am on my first season on a Sauber BMW - so what gives, how can you do 1.22 even 1.20s?
I can't get the fast mode for my engine probably because its a cheap car...
Will I be able to do those times later in the game or are you guys running the best cars on time trial and are you turning the tire/fuel simulation off?

Thank you!

Hello friends, I still regularly and I have decided to give my first contribution.

These settings are for an aggressive driving style much attacking play piano and keyboard and manual transmission, traction control total.

My record in Australia is on trial 1:21:902. Although with the Mclaren and the same set-up got a 1:21:522 without being a perfect lap, but was penalized because the curve 12 touches a little grass. I believe that with these settings a good experienced player can get to 1:20:000.

First off, nice setup viktor, managed a middle 1 28 with it kudos, however I felt the virgin didnt work well with it so I made one specifically for virgin, managed a 1 28.3 just now, however I can easily make the middle 1 27 with it.

1:20:995 today

ok im stuck ive tried all these setups an none have helped, they have all helped me except round one corner and thats exit of turn 4, are you supposed to go flat out round that corner and go over the curb or light of so you go inside the curb as when i go flat out go over the curb back end steps out and i spin every time :S and is there a trick to turn 11 and 12 i can go through but it seems really slow any help would be great thnx in advance

1:21:902 keyboard and manual shift here.

Turn 4 depends a lot on how to reach the brake and get out of Turn 3. I particularly the first 100 meters before stop chicane, under a 5 or 4 depending how well they target the car on the curve and the way until Turn 3 that you should sacrifice a little, so well do better in the 4 and reach the final 6 to go. Esque is not the same play with the automated manual gearbox. With the manual I can use more engine braking, and out of the curve more smoothly and with more traction if you play on automatic. Anyway, if you tell us where in the circuit, the car you find more uncontrollable or that you would like to improve, as we can give 2 or 3 touches to the set-up it has to stay thin. Greetings.

cheers archon69 that was helpful, i started lifting of and engine brake avoiding the curb on the exit thnx :) through turns 11 and 12 i was faster through there than i thought :p managed to complete the race finnishing 4th in my first season as lotus i noticed i struggled more with the heavy fuel than with light fuel so may have been ride hight, but did not change anything just took it alittle more easier for the first 5 or so laps :) thnx again

If you need more traction you can soften the rear suspension a bit, thus the car will manage more responsive, and slip a little less, especially in bumpy areas and out of corner, but the tire will last less. Remember, always leave the front suspension a bit more if you notice that you grab it, so when speed is more stable. And if you need to get better grades on the curve because that does not fit the car, softening a tad ahead. The rest I think is cool like this. Greetings.
