F1 2014 Mid Season Contract Offers On 7 & 12 Race Seasons

I think it's before Hungary on a full calendar season where you get a mid-season contract offer. Do you get them in the 7 or 12 race seasons? If so, before what race?

I have tried a 7 race season, just for one year to test it out.

I don't recall getting a mid-season offer. I did get an offer to drive the second season for McLaren with one race to go (i.e. after the 6th race), I was driving in a Caterham at the time. I accepted the offer, but never started the second season.
